What Is The Definition Of Obesity?

Posted by : admin

I thought today I will talk about that horrible word OBESITY and why it’s important to know the definition.

According to research, 1 OUT OF 3 Americans is Obese (hmm interesting fact) What is obese?

It is when you have excess total body fat, to be more specific when your weight is 20% or more above normal weight. There is also “Morbid obesity” and this means when a person is 50% to 100% overweight (100 pounds or more)

It’s important to know these facts.

You know why? You may be thinking you’re a little overweight and that’s not so bad.

But, after knowing the definition, YOU MAY INSTEAD FALL UNDER THE OBESE CLASSIFICATION. ( Ohh…Extremely unpleasant description)

Also, you may not like the way you look!

Being obese not only affects your health but it also affects your self esteem and confidence. If you do decide to lose weight:

Find a strong reason as to WHY YOU WANT TO do it. When you do, you will be more willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES.

It will also keep you going through the rough times. Very important.

You can read about how people lost up to 155lbs, and kept it off for 19 years plus, in my book. Go to www.drharryloseweight.com to download a free copy.

Actress Lauren Conrad the former Hills Star, is on the front cover of Septembers Issue Shape magazine and she talked about how she put on some pounds and lost it. She spilled some of her weight loss secrets.

Lauren talked about how she used to count calories but STOPPED COUNTING THEM. Instead, she made it a habit to eat a predominance of high thermic effect foods every day. Her diet consisted mainly of complex carbs, and lean proteins.

Her weight loss strategy also had a solution for managing cravings. To control her cravings for unhealthy foods she would eat hummus, cucumbers, apples and turkey. And she regularly goes to the gym.

One thing I would like to point out is that Lauren stopped counting calories because she could.

I can show you how you can lose weight without ever counting calories again.

The strategy is at the back of my book.

Once you learn you may chuckle a little bit when you hear somebody say that it is a lot of work to count calories when losing weight. You can learn how to stop counting calories by downloading my FREE book at www.drharryloseweight.com

Matt Damon had to gain 30 lbs. It was easy!

Have you heard the latest news about Matt Damon the actor? He was instructed to gain 30 pounds for his new role that he plays in “The Informant”. He had to purposely gain weight if he wanted to portray his character Mark Whitacre.

Matt Damon describes the experience of gaining weight as the “funnest time” because it gave him the opportunity to not exercise and eat a lot of meals that were high in fat for a few months. He also ate a lot of McDonalds and snacks in his preparation for the movie. He also said that it was very easy to gain the weight.

Normally he doesn’t eat like this he just had to do it for a movie and of course he is getting paid for it. Would you gain weight if someone paid you do it?

I would do it because I know how to to take it off and keep it off just by following some simple strategies; such as changing what I eat but still not being hungry, and exercise the way I used to .

It can be that simple. I go into detail on how you can do it WITHOUT NO PAIN in my book. If you don’t have it already please go to www.drharryloseweight.com and download a FREE copy.

Eat less, gain less, feel satisfied completely.

Recently some cardiologists have said that you should get a daily dose of

Omega 3.

Now if you don’t know what Omega 3 is it’s a polyunsaturated essential fat that your body  does not  make. Believe it or not, is can actually help you burn fat. I personally take an omega 3 capsule every day.

They also allow your stomach to hold the food longer helping you feel more satisfied. Not only have diet experts support Omega 3 The American Heart Association appears to support Omega 3 as well.

Consuming Omega 3 will help you feel less hungry. A recent study from Australia’s University of Newcastle discovered that higher Omega-3 levels meant lower weight and smaller waists and hips. You can find omega-3 in  fish, like salmon. I recommend to eat fish like this  at least two to three times a week.

Without this, it may be impossible to lose weight.

Have you ever tried to lose weight by yourself? It can be stressful and difficult when trying to shed those pounds off when you don’t have somebody supporting you.

In fact, when I was researching people who lost weight and kept it off,  SUPPORT WAS PIVOTAL TO THEIR SUCCESS.

It can be really easy just to give up and go back to the way  you were eating before, without a supportive environment.

A recent study of women from weight watchers discovered that women that have a support group had less stress and those that did not have a support group had increased levels of stress.

The women that did have a support group found it easier to control their eating and had an easier time choosing lower calorie foods.

So if you want to maintain your weight loss get ongoing support from family and friends, and adjust your environment to support your weight loss.

Warning: Fad diets can make you gain weight!

Are you searching for a weight loss program? If you are, then you might be a prime target for a fad diet. If you choose to go on a fad diet you may be putting your health at risk.

You’re probably thinking what is a fad diet?

It is a weight loss program that promises you’ll lose more than 4 pounds per week.

The bad news about losing weight at such fast rate is that IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN.

Once you go back on your regular diet are highly likely to gain back the pounds you lost and probably even more. You may also want to be skeptical about weight loss programs that offer special prepared foods because it is unrealistic to be able to take these prepared foods with you everywhere.

Ideally you should LEARN HOW TO EAT IN THE REAL WORLD AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT, not in a Biggest Loser type “bubble”. These are just a couple of things you need to look out for before choosing a weight loss program.

A Celebrity Is Ordered To Lose 45 Pounds For A Reality TV Show

Many people are talking about Britney’s former husband Kevin Federline. He has been all over the news lately because he suddenly gained a lot of weight.
He used to be slim and now he is overweight. VH1 called him and told him he had to lose weight for a reality TV show. He was ordered to lose 45 pounds.
That is a considerable amount of weight to lose. I am not sure what the timeline is but they said his diet plan consists of 6 meals a day every three hours to boost his metabolism and to start burning fat.
This can be a good strategy, provided he is eating high thermic effect foods that are efficient for weight loss, and keep his hunger levels controlled.
However if he eats 6 meals of whatever he likes, HE COULD GAIN AN ADDITIONAL 45 LBS.
In fact with high thermic foods you can almost eat as much of them as you want.
To find out more about these foods go to www.drharryloseweight.com and download my book now, so that you can make your body more efficient at losing weight, whist eating as much as you want!

Boost Your Metabolism, Shed Pounds Off

Did you know that your metabolism starts to slow down past 20 years old. Have you ever known someone who was always skinny. They could eat anything and not gain a pound but once they started to hit their mid 20’s,  all of sudden they  start gaining weight and looking a little rounder.

That’s because their metabolism has started slowing down.

It is important to understand why this happens. Basically you are starting to lose muscle mass, and if you don’t maintain it your metabolism will slow down.

Oh… and the older you get the worse it gets, giving rise to the famous middle age spread.

So what can you do to prevent this…

You can start just by eating Breakfast every morning like oatmeal, egg whites and protein.

This can help keep you hunger levels in check. Stay away from foods that have a lot of sugar. Also, try to exercise three times a week with weights.

To learn more about this go to drharryweightloss.com.

What we need to know about dramatic weight loss- even celebrities.

Have you heard the news about Rush Limbaughs dramatic weight loss. If you don’t who he is he is a famous radio talk show host.

On a recent radio show he said that he had lost 90 pounds in less than six months. He talked about losing a 1 pound a day. That is a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time. It could beg the question, is the weight loss rate sustainable, and can the weight be kept off.

According to National Institutes of Health, healthy sustainable weight loss is   1 to 2 pounds a week. Rush also mentioned that he is not exercising he is just eating less.

Exercising is very beneficial when you are trying to lose weight because it can help you build muscle. When you have more  muscle mass it can help burn calories for you making it easier to lose weight, i.e. you boost your metabolism naturally.

You know, as good as this weight loss is, it makes me wonder how sustainable it is, and whether the weight can be kept off.
